Actress Jang Jin-young passes away

Earlier today at 4:05PM Kr time, the young and talented actress Jang Jin-young, was lost to stomach cancer. Jang Jin-young was diagnosed with stomach cancer on September 22nd of last year.

After being diagnosed she and her boyfriend (now husband) Kim, left Korea and went to the US to receive treatment. There were reports that the treatment was going well and she was regaining health, so the news today that her condition had worsened shocked many and brought tears to many more since her passing.

Her family and husband watched her go through so much pain in all this time. Just a few hours ago, there was news that Jang Jin-young and boyfriend Kim completed their marriage registration on August 28th in Korea, before her passing. It was reported that Jang Jin-young wanted to end the relationship with Kim after finding out about her illness, but he stayed by her till the end. I'm sure despite all the physical pain, she must have been happy to have someone that loves her so much to be with her.

I've never heard of her before, but it's so sad when people die, especially from an illness.. and it's really hard on the family and her husband. Rest in Peace Jang Jin-young and condolences to the family for their great loss.

4000 Fans cheer for Yunho!

On August 31st, Yunho was shooting for MBC’s new drama series “Heading To The Ground” at Seoul World Cup Stadium. Today’s shooting unfolds the scene of Cha Bong-gun playing a football game for ‘FC SOUL’.

“Heading To The Ground” staff announced the notification about the open shooting held at Seoul World Cup Stadium at 7 p.m through the drama’s official website. However, Yunho’s fans already slowly began to fill the stadium at 6pm.

Approximately 4,000 fans of Yunho filled the Seoul World Cup Stadium at 8 p.m. Before shooting started, the fans started to chant Yunho’s role name “Cha Bong-gun! Cha Bong-gun!” while were waiting for his appearance.

At 8.30 p.m Yunho finally appeared at the field, and the 4000 fans cheered for him simultaneously.

Standing in the middle of the field Yunho said jokingly, “There are so many of you who came. Now all of you have become part of“Heading To The Ground” cast, I ask for your cooperative actions, please.”



“We are shooting a scene where Cha Bong-gun makes his debut. I can see many of you already carrying placards with the name ‘Cha Bong-gun’ on it, but it won’t be appropriate for the scene (as this is still Bong-gun’s debut). Please put off your placards.” he asked a favor to the fans.

One of “Heading To The Ground” staff met the press, said, “We never expect to get so many fans like this. We were astonished. Thanks to Yunho’s fans, the shooting today seems to be easier to proceed.”TVXQ fans are really something else but in a good way. They are always very supportive of TVXQ, like when they handed in the signatures to court.

Yunho heading to the ground!

Dong Bang Shin Ki member UKnow YunHo’s debut drama ‘Heading To The Ground’ is set to air on 9th September.

The drama will star Go Ara, Lee YoonJi, Lee SangSoon, Choi MinSung, Kim JaeSeung apart from UKnow YunHo. Two teasers to the drama have been revealed, giving fans a sneak peek into the idol’s debut drama.


The drama is going to be a 16-episode long drama and will be aired on Wednesdays and Thursdays.


The drama is about how a man tries to achieve what is thought to be impossible. Which is fulfilling his dreams of becoming a great soccer player. I don't know about you but I can't wait to see this. I have high hopes for Yunho hopefully he doesn't disappoint.

Choi JinShil's ashes stolen!

First she loses her daughter to suicide, and now someone has stolen her daughter’s ashes from her grave. The late Choi Jin Shil’s mother made a desperate plea to the thief, “Please return my daughter’s ashes.” Choi Jin Shil’s mother reported that her daughter’s ashes are stolen from her resting place in YangSooRi GapSan Park on August 15th at YangPyeong Police station.
While being accompanied by a friend of her daughter’s (comedian Lee YeongJa she said, “I don’t know who would do such a thing, but please just return my daughter’s ashes”.

A reporter asked her if there had been a stalker and She replied, “I don’t know about that. I won’t ask anything, just please return my daugther’s ashes.” The police are currently investigating the case of ‘Choi JinShil’s stolen ashes ‘.



The police have stated, “We think that the criminal may be a extreme fan or fortune-teller who is mentally unstable. At Choi JinShil’s grave, the grave is said to have been struck by a strong metal object, of about 65mm long, hit about 11 to 15 times, before opening a hole in it and retrieving the ashes.” Since the surveillance cameras at the grave site have not been working since August 12th,therefore it does not provide any help for investigation.

A staff member has said, “Recently we have had many visitors coming in to pay respects to the late Choi JinShil, but the criminal may have came in at night, that we are unsure about.”

For those who don't know who Choi jin Shil is heres little info taken from Wikipedia.
Choi Jin Shil was a popular South Korean actress. She committed suicide at the age of 39. Since her debut in 1988 till her death in 2008 she appeared in various soap operas, movies and commercials, becoming a household name. Her popularity was widely considered due to her friendly and approachable demeanor rather than the statuesque looks of her contemporaries.

My Fair Lady

Much anticipated Korean drama "My Fair Lady", starring the very talented Yoon Eun Hye, will be airing very soon.

From the preview, the drama looks promising, seems to have a lot of depth and its funny. It doesn't look cliche like many dramas, so hopefully it will be fun and interesting. Also, the Lady's castle is the same house used in "Boys Over Flowers" that Goo Jun Pyo lived in! sweet..Just thought that was an interesting fact.

I really liked Eun Hye since watching "Coffee Prince" with Goong Yoo. I can't wait to see what she will do in this upcoming drama.

The main cast of My Fair Lady will also have their own reality TV show "Happy Together" airing today August 13th.

Yoon Eun Hye's New Drama

Yoo Eun Hye, Yoon Sang Hyun, Jung II Woo, and Moon Chae Won will lead the drama "Lady, Please" scheduled to be aired on KBS2 on August 19th.

This comical drama shows a rich young lady living n her mansion like a princess and her romantic story with the poor butler working in the mansion.

Kang Hye Na, played by Yoo Eun Hye, is an arrogant heiress of the owner of the top financial group "Kangsan Group." Suh Dong Chan, played by Yoon Sang Hyun, disguises as a poor butler aiming to get a secret fun associated with the mansion. Jung II Woo plays Lee Tae Yoon, an elite lawyer working for the largest firm affiliated with Kangsan Grouo. He loves Hye Na, which comes between Hye Na and Dong Chan. He has a kind appearance, but can sometimes show his cold-hearted side.

Moon Chae Won plays Yu Wi Joo who frew up with Dong Chan like real brother and sister and dreams to be a shoe designer.

In the drama, Yoo Eun Hye also sings! She and Yoo Sang Hyun sing an OST for the drama. The title of the song is "I Can't Help Loving You." I didn't know she could sing. I can't wait to hear and watch her in this new drama.

Son Dambi's debut in sports drama "Dream"

Singer Son Dambi, mostly known for ther singing and dancing skills, has tried acting before in Hollywood, but it wasn't much of a success. However, this summer she has recently made her acting debut in new sports drama, "Dream." Son Dambi worked very hard to be fit for her role. She started taking taebo 3 months before the drama and lost a bit of weight, but she continued working on her skills, practising up to 6 hours a day 0_0..intense. Hope all her work pays off. I watched the first part of the 1st episode..looks interesting.

Dream is about a boy, Lee Jang Suk (Kim Bum) who spent time in a juvenile detention center for stealing wallets.
