1.) Guo Shu Yao, also known as "Yao Yao" - '愛的抱抱' (Free Love)



Yao Yao shi hen ke ai! (Yao Yao is very cute^^). I really like the song, though the video is a bit strange.. but still enjoyable.



2.) Angela Zhang - '第5季' The Fifth Season)



I've always loved Angela's voice. It's very beautiful and so are many of her songs. I think maybe she should've gotten 1st place.


3.) Joe Cheng - '暢一首歌' (Chang One Song)



I only know Joe Cheng as the actor from Taiwan drama "It Started with a Kiss", but I can see he's trying hard with his singing career. I think he does really well with this song. Its really catchy and he can dance pretty well too. Plus he's really hot! So, it all works out :)

Angela Zhang is back with new hit

Despite rumors and accusations about Taiwanese singer Angela Zhang being unfilial by her parents, her latest song, 'Bai Bai De' (White) from her new album 'The 5th Season,' has still managed to hit the billboard charts and is already a big hit.

The release of her sixth album, 'The 5th Season' was recently alleged to be delayed by her parents, but fans of the pop singer seemed to be unfazed by it. The 5th Season continues to be gaining much success in the market, along with her newest hit 'White.' 'White' has made its way onto two billboard charts at the same time. The rest of her album will be released on September 25th.

Angela commented, "Thank you everybody for giving me this heartwarming encouragement at this point of time. I can deeply feel it and will always put you in my heart. I will continue to sing more great songs and not disappoint everyone."


In line with her hit track, the singer was donned with a low-cut white waistcoat and white feathered shorts. Her face had a mask filled with many diamonds, creating an ethereal and romantic effect of a mysterious white festival. (seen to the left)

In the 5th Season, she attempted various different music styles, which is a refreshing change from her previous work, but she still keeps to her original vocal capabilities.

Jay Chou goes to Hollywood

Taiwanese pop star Jay Chou is going to make his Hollywood debut in "The Green Hornet."

He has been cast as Kato, the main character's sidekick, who was previously played by Bruce Lee in the original drama in the 60s.

Hong Kong actor Stephen Chow was previously cast but he was pulled out of the production. Kwon Sang-woo was also rumored to have been chosen, but Chou got it in the end.

Another Bruce Lee role being filled. I hope he and Rain will do a good job.

The Green Hornet is scheduled for a release next summer so the filming should be starting pretty soon.

Asian Song Festival 2009 - Free Admission!

Girl's Generation and Super Junior have been selected to represent South Korea in this years' Asia Song Festival, which will be held in northwestern Seoul in October at the Sangam World Cup Stadium. Im so proud of them! This will be a great opportunity.

The Asian Song festival is an internationally famous event that represents singers and pop group from 9 countries such as South Korean, Japan, China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Performers such as Gackt and Mihimaru GT (Japan), Li Ming (HK), K-Otic (Thailand), Ho Ngoc Ha (Vietnam), and Agnes Monica (Indonesia), etc.

Ticket passes will be available in September on the festival's website at www.asf.or.kr

Too bad I can't go =(

Update: Sorry again for the misunderstanding about the tickets. I was really confused as to whether they were free or not, but they are FREE! You can print your ticket passes online at the website above. Priority is given to foreigners travelling to South Korea, so this is good. So all who are planning to go get your tickets fast because tickets are running out!

Jolin Tsai and Rain expand into other industries

Earlier this year both Rain (Korea) and Jolin Tsai (Taiwan) unleashed their new clothing lines. Do you see a trend here? Even though originally pop stars, they both seem to be gaining success in the fashion industry.

Rain is no longer just and actor/singer, but also the head designer and main model of his new brand Six to Five. His brand covers items from leather boots, jackets, cute tops and denim shorts with a hint of edginess. Even, singer lee Hyori was seen wearing clothing from his women's line. He doesn't see himself as a designer, but someone who likes comfortable, but fashionable clothes. Rain plans to expand his brand across Asia, Europe and the U.S.

Jolin Tsai's cloting line 72 Changes has also made success in New York, partnering with L.A.M.B and Saks 5th Avenue to launch her fashion line in Soho, New York. The name 72 Changes comes from one of her best selling albums, Magic (2003). Her brand covers rock, disco, street jazz, and sweet styles. 72 Changes is now being sold in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and other major cities in Asia.
